Like everyone else, I started my year with new year resolutions but failed in it terribly. Finally I opened my eyes in April and decided to tackle it month by month. That was one of the best decisions I ever took.<\/span><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Instead of repeating everything, I will only consolidate the major ones<\/span><\/p>\n<h1><\/h1>\n<h6><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Routines<\/span><\/h6>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n<b>1.Reading Books:<\/b><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Even though I read a lot, I never tracked properly what all I read. I have a lot more scope to improve in this and be structured in what I read.<\/span><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<b>2.Writing:<\/b><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I wrote around 100 posts this year the bulk of which come from the two 30 day writing challenges I did. I improved the design and interface of my website but I still have a long way to go in writing better and learn about blogging.<\/span><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<b>3.Diary<\/b><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I tried different patterns in journalling. I tried food tracker, mood tracker, expense tracker. Each of them were useful in their own way and they gave me wonderful insights about my life.<\/span><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<b>4.Exercise and Meditation<\/b><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I fell off the stairs and that disturbed my exercise schedule. I skipped exercise on a lot of \u00a0days due to various reasons. I haven\u2019t done that good as I was supposed to do. But then I learnt a lot of new yoga poses. Meditation does not like me yet. I need to make friends with it.<\/span><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<b>5.Language learning<\/b><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I broadened my French learning by using multiple apps like Duolingo, Memrise, Mondly. I also started learning Tamil Alphabets.<\/span><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<b>6.Ted talks<\/b><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I made a habit of watching ted talks during commute time which helped me expand the ways I think.<\/span><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<b>7.Courses<\/b><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I did courses across multiple domains like Finance, creativity, text mining, machine learning, genetics. It has definitely broadened my mind.<\/span><br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Attitude<\/span><\/h6>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1.Organize<\/span><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I took a few steps towards becoming an organised person. But I need to expand this to multiple areas in my life.<\/span><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2.Positive challenge<\/span><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Infusing positivity into life can make wonders. I took the first step towards it by inculcating habits which help me stay more positive.<\/span><br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What plans for 2018?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 2018, I want to have a combination of weekly and monthly goals. My schedule is already tight with the current exercises I have been doing. So monthly goals are those which go into schedule and weekly goals are for the ones which change the way I behave as a person.
